General

• The Recommendation Program is open only to Windows users using PC version of Avast Antivirus.
• Entering the program is possible only by sharing your personal recommendation link, found in the ‘Earn Rewards’ section (Recommendation screen).
• Our Recommendation screen allows you to invite your friends by sharing a recommendation link via email, social media, or other means. If you choose to send an email through the provided form, we’ll receive your name and your friend’s email address in order to invite them, on your behalf, to download Avast products. By using this functionality, you agree not to misuse the service and not to insert anything that could be classified as misleading, vulgar, abusive, hate speech, or defaming into the form. Eligibility for rewards

1. Share your personal recommendation link through social media, email or copy and paste it to any message, website or forum.
2. Tell your friends to open the link in their browser, download Avast Free Antivirus from the page displayed and install it on their PC.
3. Once your friends install Avast Free Antivirus they downloaded through the webpage, Avast servers get notified that someone installed the software using your link and save the information into our database.
4. In the next 48 hours, your Avast desktop app will synchronize the count of recommendations with the database and show the number in the Recommendation screen.
5. When the count of recommendations in the Recommendation screen reaches level needed to unlock the rewards, a ‘Claim now’ button will appear in the box with the reward - after a click on the button, a page opens where you can download your reward.

Complete protection against all online threats, including spoofed websites and ransomware

1 recommendation - 6 months free for one PC

3 recommendations - 6 months free for up to ten devices

Avast Ultimate

A comprehensive, premium bundle of our security, privacy, and performance apps in one package.

5 recommendations - 6 months free for one PC

10 recommendationss - 6 months free for up to ten devices

Please make sure that:

a) Your friend installs Avast Free Antivirus directly through your personal recommendation link, found in the ‘Earn Rewards’ section.

b) Your friend installs Avast Free Antivirus on a Windows PC (Mac OS installations will not count as a successful recommendation as it is currently not supported).

c) Your friend’s PC must be connected (and stay connected) to the internet during the entire installation, so that we may know you’ve recommended a new user.

d) Your friend must not have Avast Free Antivirus already installed on their PC when using your recommendation link to download the product.

e) And most importantly: for your share to count as a successful recommendation, your friend must keep Avast Free Antivirus installed on their PC.

If the above conditions are met, your number of shares will be raised by 1 for any such eligible installation.

Note that:

• In order to obtain a reward, you must reach the number of shares equal or higher than the amount of shares needed to get the reward of your choice.
• Free licenses obtained through the Recommendation Program are valid from the day you download the software.
• Free licenses obtained through the Recommendation Program cannot be used on PC’s where any trial versions of Avast products have been installed in the past.
• The length of validity of a free license cannot be extended by obtaining multiple free licenses at one time.
• Rewards obtained through the Recommendation Program can not be refunded or exchanged for money.
• Rewards and the amount of recommendations required to earn a reward may be subject of change.
• In case of any suspicious activity that indicates abuse of the Recommendation Program, we reserve the right to refuse access to the rewards and the reward program in its entirety, refuse to issue free licenses, and terminate the validity of gained licenses.
• Share count is tied to your Avast installation. If you reinstall Avast on your PC or install Avast on a different PC, you will lose your current share balance.
