Announcing avast! Home Edition 20 millionth registered user
Prague - 30th October 2006: For Immediate Release: ALWIL Software is very proud to announce the registration of our 20 Millionth (20 000 000) registered avast! Home Edition user.
Our very first avast! user registered on the 26th January 2002. It took just a couple of days over a year (30th January 2003) to get our 100 000th registration; but less than six months to get that figure to 200 000 (11th June 2003); just before the end of 2003 that figure was 500 000 registered users.
Four months after that we reached the magic million registration (21st April 2004); Our ten millionth registration of avast! came a year later on 17th October.
Our rapid growth in both Home Edition and paid-for solutions has been the result of caring about our customer needs and exceeding them where possible.
ALWIL Software and the avast! line of antivirus solutions has grown substantially in both users and revenue over that time, as we have enhanced our technologies to meet both customer expectations and to provide solutions for emerging threats.
