avast! antivirus now available on Solaris platform
Prague - 28th February 2007: For Immediate Release: ALWIL Software a.s. is proud to announce that their avast®! for Linux/Unix Servers range has been extended to run under Sun Solaris™, the highly popular, free and open source operating system from Sun Microsystems®.
The Sun Solaris™ operating system is the most widely used Unix® operating system on the planet and is the defacto standard in enterprise web-serving, yet is available for over eight hundred SPARC™, x64 and x86-based systems from multiple manufacturers, including HP®, DELL® and IBM®.

avast®! for Linux/Unix Servers will run under Solaris versions 8 to 10 (UltraSPARC™ 300MHz or higher, x86 486 or higher, x64 platforms with a minimum of 128MB RAM), uses the same licensing regime as our standard avast®! for Linux/Unix product and is available now for purchase via our online shop or authorized avast®! resellers internationally.
