AVAST32 3.0 End of Life - Notice of withdrawal of support and updates

Prague - January 2nd 2006: For Immediate Release : ALWIL Software today formally announces that AVAST32 3.0 support and updates are to cease on 1st February 2006 as the product reaches end of life.

All program updates and antivirus database updates will cease for this product on 1st February 2005.

ALWIL Software have taken this step as AVAST32 3.0 has been superseded by avast! 4 Home and Professional Editions, with avast! Editions having been available for several years to replace this line.

Customers whose sole antivirus protection is provided by the AVAST32 line are strongly recommended to upgrade to avast! 4 before the 1st February, in order to remain protected against the latest threats.

Customers looking to replace their AVAST32 3.0 installations can choose between avast! 4 Home Edition, available free for non-commercial home use; or Professional Edition available for use in commercial enviroments or where home users want advanced features not available with Home Edition.
