avast! Home Edition reaches 35m users
Prague - 9th August 2007: For Immediate Release: ALWIL Software a.s. is extremely proud to announce the registration of the 35 millionth (35,000,000) avast®! antivirus Home Edition user.
The very first avast®! antivirus Home Edition user registered on the 26th January 2002, and the 20 millionth user registered on the 30th October 2006, shortly followed by the 25th millionth users registering on 9th February 2007. The 30 millionth user was registered on the 11th of May 2007.
At the present rate of accelerated registrations, ALWIL Software a.s. expects to see the 40 millionth (40,000,000) registration at some time in the beginning of Q4 2007.

avast®! antivirus Home Edition is available free of charge for non-commercial home use (both conditions being a part of the end user license agreement) and can be downloaded exclusively from the avast.com website or certain selected download servers such as download.com.
